Quinta Studio 1:48 Su-30SM — a 3D-printed color interior on decal paper with 3D-printed resin parts is an accessory for the plastic model from Zvezda. It is not a kit of an aircraft.

This is NOT a kit of an aircraft, but a detailed interior set for the plastic model of the Su-30SM in 1:48 scale from Zvezda. The basis is what are called 3D decals: printed, color elements in relief on a carrier decal paper, which have real thickness and three-dimensional relief — gauges, switches, buttons, warning lights, handles. You slide them off the paper directly onto the part and you have a finished color interior practically without painting. On top of that the set contains physical 3D-printed resin parts, which supply what a flat decal cannot manage, that is a combination of decals and real parts.
The Su-30SM is a Russian two-seat multi-role fighter from the Su-27 family. Its recognition features are the canards and engines with thrust vectoring, which make the machine exceptionally agile. A two-seat cockpit means two complete workstations, and that is exactly why a detailed interior pays off on the model: a great deal is visible under the large canopy.
The 3D decals slide off the carrier paper — paint the area underneath them and polish it with gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22), as the elements have no adhesive layer of their own and will not hold on a matte base. Soak the cut-out part in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it into place. From the plastic it is usually necessary to cut away and sand down the molded suggestion of the instruments and switches, so that the element seats over its whole face. Work calmly and in stages: the decals are not freely bendable, users report that they are fragile and crack if they are forced into a bend — on markedly curved surfaces it is better to divide them and cut them, and on busy places a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin and destroy the element. Cut the resin 3D parts off their supports, wash them in warm soapy water before painting (residues of uncured resin prevent adhesion), bond them with super glue or epoxy — cement for polystyrene does not work on them, and do any sanding wet and with a respirator: resin dust is harmful to health. It is a good idea to seal the finished interior with matte varnish.
A detail set, not a model. The base plastic kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
