A .30 caliber machine gun in 1:35 scale of resin completed with photo-etched metal. Cal. 30 Machine Gun will replace the coarser weapons from kits, on mounts as well as in the hands of figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
A miniature of the air-cooled .30 caliber machine gun in 1:35 scale. The body of the weapon is cast in resin, while photo-etched metal completes the fine parts such as the perforated barrel jacket and the gun sights. The combination of the two materials allows a fineness that injection-molded plastic alone does not reach.
The air-cooled version of the Browning machine gun accompanied American units through the whole war and long after it. It fired the 7.62 mm round from a cloth or a linked belt, weighed around fourteen kilograms and was mounted practically everywhere: on an infantry tripod, in the turrets of tanks as a coaxial weapon, in the hulls of half-tracks and in the wings of aircraft. The soldiers liked it for its reliability, but cursed the weight of the tripod itself. It stayed in service long after 1945 and could be met in later conflicts as well.
Wash the castings, cut off the sprue gates and fine-tune the surfaces with a file. Attach the metal accessories with cyanoacrylate. Do not paint the weapon black; it looks far better with a dark gray base lightened with graphite or a metallic pigment on the edges. A brown glaze will bring the wooden parts of the stock to life.
This is a separate accessory; neither a vehicle nor figures are supplied with it.
