Duckbills for the M4 Sherman 1:35 – Bronco

Bronco Duckbills is an add-on set of duckbill track extensions in 1:35 scale, not a standalone model. These are extended end connectors that were fitted to the tracks of the American M4 Sherman tank to enlarge the ground contact area and improve mobility in soft terrain. The set holds the extensions (the end connectors) themselves, not complete tracks, and is intended for the T48, T51 and T54E1 track types. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.

Building tips

Deburr the extensions carefully and sand down the parting lines. They fit onto the end connectors of the matching tracks, so you also need a suitable set of Sherman tracks. Glue them with liquid cement for plastic; the work is small and time-consuming but visually very rewarding, as extended tracks are typical of Shermans fitted out this way.

For modelers of Shermans who want to render a vehicle with extended tracks faithfully. It calls for patience and for a matching set of T48, T51 or T54E1 tracks.

This is an add-on set of extensions, not a complete model and not complete tracks. The base kit, the track set, glue and paints are not included in the package.
