A single figure from the Czech maker CMK in 1:35 scale. It represents a member of the crew of a German trench mortar from the World War I period, at the moment he is placing a shell into the barrel. The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is intended to complete a scene of your own.
The trench mortar was the answer to a situation in which the front had dug itself into the ground and ordinary artillery could not hit a target hidden in a trench. A mortar sends its shell in a high arc, so that it falls from above, and the crew can work it from cover. The German army had these weapons in service before the war and fielded them on a large scale from the very start of the fighting, which gave it an advantage in trench warfare for a long time.
First wash the figure in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry. Cut the remains of production away with a fresh blade, level the surface and wear respiratory protection when sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Dry-fit the figure by the weapon so that the hands line up with the shell and the barrel. World War I uniforms are muted in color, so the scene comes out better from work with shadow and light than from saturated shades.
