The winter figure Lucky Strikes, a US soldier in the Ardennes 1944, in 1:35 scale comes from a digitally sculpted master and offers two interchangeable heads.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure captures an American soldier in winter kit from the fighting at the turn of 1944 and 1945. It was made from a digitally sculpted master, and according to the manufacturer two interchangeable heads belong to it, so you choose the final expression yourself. The name refers to a brand of cigarettes of the kind that came in American rations.
The last big German attack in the west began in December 1944 in the wooded borderland of Belgium and Luxembourg. Fog and snowfall grounded the Allied air forces at first, so the outcome was decided by the fighting for road junctions and for fuel supplies. For a modeler it is a setting where snow, mud and pine needles cover everything, which makes it a rewarding chance to work with texture.
Do not make the snow on the boots and on the hem of the coat with white paint, but with a material that has body, and apply it only at the very end. The woolen parts of the uniform call for a matte surface and a fine dry brush that lifts the nap of the cloth. Fit the interchangeable heads only after the neck and collar are painted, otherwise you will struggle to reach into the gap. Work the mud on the trousers from the bottom upward, never evenly over the whole leg.
The set contains the parts of the figure; snow, paints and glue have to be bought separately.
