This photo-etched accessory from Panzerkraft is NOT a model but a set of add-on turret armor for the Panzer IV Ausf. G in 1:35 scale. The configuration corresponds to the vehicles of the 3rd SS Panzer Division Totenkopf in the Kharkov area in 1943. The set is there to complete the turret of the Dragon kit faithfully.
The Panzer IV Ausf. G was one of the widely used versions of this armored family on the Eastern Front. Add-on armor plates on the turret and the hull increased the crew's protection against anti-tank fire. The unit and the place of service given here serve as the historical setting of the real subject.
Dry-fit the photo-etched plates to the turret, form any bends over a straightedge and attach them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Pick out the joints and the rivets after the base painting with a wash and a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
