1:35 SC 70/90 - SCP70/90

A supplementary set in 1:35 scale

A supplementary set for models of military equipment in 1:35 scale, carrying the designation SC 70/90 and SCP70/90. This item is munitions, weapons and accessories for equipment. It is not a kit but an accessory that is added to a finished model or to the scene around it.

Where the set fits

Small fittings around equipment do a great deal of work in a display case: they break up empty surfaces, give the viewer scale and suggest what is going on in a scene. 1:35 is the most widespread scale for military equipment and figures, so the set can be combined with most models and with accessories from other makers.

Preparation and painting

• Cut any excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder back carefully.
• Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; on resin and on metal ordinary cement for plastic has no effect and cyanoacrylate is needed.
• Before painting, wash the parts and let them dry thoroughly, so that the finish holds.
• Derive the color scheme from period photographs and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
• A dark deposit into the hollows at the end helps, as it pulls out the shape of a part.

Who it is for

For builders of military equipment and dioramas in 1:35 scale who collect small fittings for a scene. The range of parts, their number and the order of assembly are given in the manufacturer's instructions; before buying it therefore pays to compare the contents with what the set is meant to stand for in a scene. The model, a base, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
