A figure of a German Panzergrenadier in 1:35 scale, according to the name belonging to the 12th SS Panzer Division in 1944.
Responsibility details are not available.
Panzergrenadier was the German name for the infantry that advanced together with the tanks and traveled on armored personnel carriers or trucks. Its task was simple and thankless: to cover the vehicles where a tank on its own is vulnerable, that is in built-up areas, in woods and anywhere the flank of a machine can be reached. The designation in the name refers to the 12th SS Panzer Division and to the year 1944.
One figure of a soldier in 1:35 scale, that is in the scale of ordinary kits of armored vehicles. How the figure is divided into parts, its stance and its equipment are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut away surplus material and traces of manufacture with a sharp blade a short distance from the part, sand the remainder and polish the area, so that no step is left where you worked. Bond the joints with cyanoacrylate glue. Before painting, wash the figure, degrease it and go over it with a thin primer, which will take the paint and at the same time show whether the surface is clean. Apply the paint in thin layers and shade with glazes, otherwise the drawing of the folds is lost in 1:35 scale. Paint the pattern of camouflage cloth from the large patches to the small ones and keep them in scale: a patch that is too large on a figure drags the whole model down a size. Choose the color scheme according to the manufacturer's instructions and according to period photographs.
For builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale who are adding infantry to a scene with vehicles. The model of a vehicle, a base, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
