This is a resin replacement turret in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Panzer Art. It is not a complete tank model but an accessory that replaces the original turret of a base T-34/76 kit. It represents the characteristic pressed turret nicknamed Formochka, which was made by the Urals factory UZTM at Sverdlovsk. The turret has the typically rounded, smooth shape that comes from being pressed out of steel plate.
The Soviet Union introduced pressed turrets from the autumn of 1942 in order to speed up T-34 production. Turrets from the heavy press at Sverdlovsk are recognizable by their flowing rounded shapes, which set them apart from the welded and cast versions.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
