Omask 1:48 English Electric Lightning — wheel bay plugs (for Airfix / Eduard) are shaped plugs of flexible foam that seal finished wheel bays while the model is sprayed. It is not a kit — you have to have the Lightning model.

Note: this is neither a kit nor an aircraft model but a modeling accessory. The package holds shaped plugs of flexible foam that exactly fill the wheel bays of the English Electric Lightning model in 1:48 scale from Airfix and Eduard. The model itself is not included.
A modeler paints and details the wheel bay among the first things — it is a deep cavity that is hard to reach later. But when the whole model is sprayed from the outside, paint gets into it every time unless it is sealed, and the finished work is ruined. Masking tape and cotton wool are hard to shape in such an irregular cavity and do not seal anyway. A plug solves the problem differently: it goes into the bay, the model is sprayed and once dry the plug is taken out. The bay stays exactly as you painted it. As a bonus it protects during sanding and handling — no dust from sandpaper gets into the interior of the bay.
The plug is cast to the shape of the bay of a particular kit, not of the real aircraft. This set is intended for the 1:48 English Electric Lightning from Airfix, or from Eduard. It will not fit a kit from another manufacturer. If you have a Lightning from someone else, this set will not help you.
The English Electric Lightning was a British supersonic interceptor, famous for its enormous rate of climb — it could climb practically vertically. Its powerplant arrangement was unique too: two engines placed one above the other in the fuselage, a solution no other production fighter matched.
This is an accessory for a model, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
