This kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech company Valom represents the famous Fokker F.VIIb/3m trimotor airliner in the scheme of the Air France company, with one particular machine registered F-ALUK. It is a short-run model that combines injection-molded plastic with additional parts in resin and photo-etched metal for finer detail. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
In the interwar period the Fokker F.VIIb/3m was one of the most successful transport and reconnaissance aircraft. The trimotor layout and the reliable structure made it a favorite machine of airlines and of pioneering long-distance flights. In the colors of the French airline it flew on European as well as colonial routes.
A short-run kit rewards careful cleanup of the parts and a dry fit before gluing. Glue the resin and photo-etched parts with super glue. The even surfaces of an airliner come out best with a primer and an airbrush; apply the airline decals over gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
