Responsibility details are not available.
Plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains twelve riders in four poses, with horses and spears to go with them. The figures are unpainted and unglued, and the riders have to be seated in the saddle. The Hispanic cavalry complements Carthaginian as well as Roman formations, because both sides recruited local fighters on the Iberian peninsula.
Hispanic horsemen were among the most valuable detachments of the Punic wars. They fought with a short spear and the characteristic curved falcata sword, were protected by the small round caetra shield and often fought in pairs, with one of the men dismounting to fight on foot. Hannibal brought them across the Alps into Italy and their mobility played a part at the Trebia and at Cannae.
Wash the plastic in lukewarm soapy water, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. White tunics with a red border are rewarding for Hispanic warriors and visually separate these riders from the Carthaginian detachments in a formation. Insert the spears into the hand only after painting, so that they do not bend during handling. Leave the round shields on separate parts as long as you can; a pattern is easier to paint on them that way.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
