A supplementary set capturing the torpedo room of a Type VII submarine in 1:72 scale, meant according to the title for the Revell kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Type VII submarine was the most numerous German submarine type of the Second World War, and its interior was among the most cramped the crews of that time ever met. The torpedo room was at the same time the place where the men slept and ate: bunks hung between the reserve torpedoes, and with every torpedo fired the space eased a little.
The set extends the build of the submarine with a worked-up torpedo room in 1:72 scale. The title assigns it to the kit marked with the abbreviation REV, that is, Revell. Before buying, compare the scale and the version of the submarine with your own kit, because the dimensions of the interior differ from one release to another. The exact number and extent of the parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
First dry-fit the parts in the hull and only then glue them. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the rest down, so that the mating surfaces stay flat. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Paint and shade the interior before you close the hull up, because afterwards you will not be able to reach it. A suitable glue and a detailed procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The set is meant for modelers who are building the submarine with an open side or with a partial cutaway in the hull and want the inside to be visible. It also comes into its own in a diorama where the interior is lit and the viewer looks into it from the side. The submarine kit is not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
