About product

1:72 US Airborne Vietnam war (3 fig.) - resin figures from CMK

The set holds three unglued and unpainted resin figures in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker CMK. It portrays US paratroopers in the period of the war in Vietnam, in period field gear. The figures bring a military diorama and a scene around a vehicle or a helicopter to life.

The real subject

US airborne units were among the mobile forces deployed in Southeast Asia in the 1960s and 1970s. The soldiers carried light field gear, personal weapons and equipment matching that deployment.

Building and painting tips

Before gluing, wash the remains of the mold release agent off the resin castings, carefully cut away the sprue gates and casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways while sanding. Apply a base (primer) before painting; set the camouflage pattern and the gear apart with fine shading.

Who the set is for

  • modelers building a military diorama in 1:72 scale
  • those interested in the US deployment in Vietnam
  • more advanced modelers used to working with resin
  • bringing a scene by a vehicle or a helicopter to life

The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
