A shade listed under the name Light Mediterranean Blue. Aircraft deployed over the Mediterranean carried blue finishes underneath instead of gray, because the sky there is brighter than over northern Europe and a gray underside would have given the machine away sooner against it. The light version of the shade suits places where the underside is to be as inconspicuous as possible, and it serves equally well to render the faded finish of a machine that has spent months on sun-baked field airfields.
