The real subject

The T-34 was the most widespread Soviet medium tank of the Second World War. Several types of track succeeded one another on it during production; the late split waffle track 500 mm wide is typical of the advanced production variants and gives a model a running gear correct for its period.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean the parts up; they are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. Assemble the tracks and set the sag before painting; then bring them out with a base color and a patina using washes and pigments.
