A 3D-printed relief decal set that adds raised panel lines and fine weld beads to the smooth surface of a model. It is applied like a decal but carries a real relief, so once it is on it creates a raised surface texture with no engraving or etching. This variant has a medium relief, that is a balanced height of detail.

What it is for

The set is intended above all for the hulls and superstructures of ships, where you easily create a network of raised plates and welds. Medium relief is the universal choice for the usual ship scales, where the texture is to be visible but not overdone.

Use

• Clean the surface and coat it with gloss varnish for reliable adhesion.
• Cut the piece out, dip it in lukewarm water and slide it into place.
• Do not use a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin; press the relief onto the shape of the surface with a cotton bud.
• Once dry, go over it with paint and a matte varnish as needed.
