Vallejo True Metallic Metal SHADE - Sterling Silver

A colored metallic shade from the True Metallic Metal (TMM) line, the SHADE sub-line. It is a heavily pigmented, water-thinnable acrylic metallic ink with a glossy surface that is laid over a base metallic without suppressing its metallic sheen. The Sterling Silver tone is a neutral silver-steel shade for deepening and defining light metals. It comes in a dropper bottle of 18 ml. Within the TMM system it combines with the base (BASE), the light (LIGHT) and the airbrush version of the same and of related families.

Use

• It is laid over a cured metallic base coat; it brings out the recesses and defines the detail.
• It can be thinned with water or with a medium (1:1 for instance) for a finer, wash-like run into the engraved lines.
• It preserves the metallic sheen of the base and does not dull it the way a classic matte wash does.
• Shake thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom.
• Lay metallic coats on rather at the end, as they are harder to mask and to overspray.
