A 3D-printed resin set of ammunition for German 2 cm anti-aircraft guns in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT. The manufacturer gives forty pieces in the package, so it is enough even for a crowded firing position. The individual rounds are placed loose around the scene, in a box or in the hands of a crew figure; on a model this is one of the details that bring a scene to life at once.
The 2 cm Flak 30 and Flak 38 anti-aircraft guns fired very fast, so rounds, empty cartridge cases and boxes always piled up around their positions. It is precisely this disorder that turns a model of a gun into a scene, because it tells what was going on there. Small-caliber rounds are moreover rewarding to paint: a brass cartridge case, a colored tip on the projectile and dark soot from firing can be managed with three shades.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
