A tool for cutting circles with stepless, that is not stepped, adjustment of the radius. It consists of two parts: a clamping one, which holds the blade, and a positioning one, which sets the center and the radius. Splitting it into two assemblies means that the radius is set independently of how the blade is clamped and that the setting is not lost when the blade is changed.
According to the manufacturer the body is of forged aluminum alloy and the surface is anodized and blasted. The combination of forging and surface treatment matters here, because on a tool that has to hit the same radius repeatedly it is stiffness that decides: a soft body flexes slightly under the pressure of the blade and the circle comes out differently every time.
The cutter is for those who need circular masks and discs regularly and want to repeat them exactly: national insignia, wheels, headlights, engine covers, discs of thin plastic and film. Anyone content with an occasional circle will get by with the basic version of the range.
If a model needs a symmetrical pair of masks, cut them one after another at a single setting. Both will then come out identical, which with two separate settings will not happen. The blade is very sharp; keep the tool out of the reach of children.
