Sets of Soviet Kontakt explosive reactive armor (ERA) in 1:35 scale are 3D printed resin accessories which add the distinctive blocks of reactive protection to Soviet tanks, damaged variants included.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a detail accessory for building a tank, not a standalone model. It holds 3D printed resin blocks of Soviet Kontakt reactive armor, that is explosive reactive protection. The Soviet Union introduced the Kontakt reactive armor in the 1980s; it was made up of small steel blocks with a reactive insert fixed onto the armor of tanks.
The blocks are glued onto the turret and the hull of a Soviet tank and add a layer of reactive protection which a base kit often does not hold. The set offers several types of blocks, complete as well as damaged or empty modules, which makes it possible to render a vehicle after combat realistically.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the print supports and the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. Place the blocks according to period photographs of the particular type of tank, and put the damaged modules in exposed places for effect.
This is an accessory set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
