The center of the cockpit up close: the Macchi MC.200 – control lever 1:32 replaces the simplified shape in the cockpit of the Italian fighter with a more finely rendered part.
Responsibility details are not available.
The control lever is the first thing that catches the eye of anyone who looks into an open cockpit. In large scales it is therefore worth not settling for the basic shape and replacing it with a rendering that stands up to a close look and to a camera lens.
The Italian Saetta was one of the types with which the Regia Aeronautica entered the Second World War. It combined a radial engine, an all-metal structure and surprisingly good agility, but insufficient armament and a lower speed put it at a disadvantage against its contemporaries. Pilots grew fond of the type for its honest handling and for the toughness with which it stood up to service over the desert. The aircraft served from Malta across the North African coast to deployment in the east of Europe, and it also saw floatplane and trainer conversions.
Controls on the real aircraft are usually dark, often black or dark gray, and the grip is worn to a shine by use. It is exactly this difference between the matte tube and the shiny spot where the pilot held his hand that brings the part to life. A thin line of a dark shade in the transitions and lightly picking out the edges help as well. Choose a thin paint and apply it in several thin steps.
The package holds the part itself; you will not find the aircraft or paints in it.
