1:32 Male driver for US NAVY A/S32A-49 Deck Tractor (scene 3) is a single male figure seated at the controls of a deck tractor, ready for a display case of naval aviation equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A figure of a man operating the A/S32A-49 tractor, the machine with which aircraft are moved on aircraft carriers. The scene 3 qualifier sets the pose apart from the other versions of the same offer, so you can choose the stance that suits the arrangement of your display case. It is not a kit of the tractor but the crew that gives it life.
Tractors of this kind move in under the nose gear, tow machines away from the catapult and line them up in parking positions, including in the hangar below the flight deck. The work goes on in a confined space and in constant noise, which is why the crew wear ear defenders and a conspicuous vest. Handling aircraft comes under the blue group of the deck personnel, who work in close coordination with the directors.
1:32 scale forgives little, but it does allow the features of the face and the folds of the coveralls to be worked up. A thin coat of undercoat works well, then a flat base tone and only after that shading with a darker shade into the folds. A dry brush will bring out the edges, the buckles and the helmet; a matte final coat will even out the sheen of the whole surface. Leave the eyes and small markings for the very end, when the surrounding areas are no longer being touched.
Paints, brushes and a base are not included with this item.
