An injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from Master Box. The box contains four figures of two German and two Soviet soldiers caught in a dramatic close-quarters fight. The dynamic poses of this set make an impressive core for any Eastern Front combat diorama.
Close-quarters fighting was the most extreme and exceptionally intense form of ground warfare on the Eastern Front in the opening years of the conflict, between 1941 and 1942. The set factually captures an encounter between soldiers of both sides at the moment of immediate contact. The figures come with period infantry armament, including a rifle with a bayonet, matching the equipment of the time.
Separate the figures from the sprue, clean up the mold seams and glue them with thin cement for plastic. The interlocking poses call for careful alignment, so dry-fit the figures first. Apply primer before painting. Set the uniforms of the two sides apart in color, add shadows in the folds and wear, and paint the faces in layers to emphasize the expression.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
