1:35 UH-60M/L/P, MH-60G, AH-60L DAP - unfolded main rotor (3D Printed) is a printed replacement for the main rotor in the unfolded position for models of the Black Hawk family.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set made by 3D printing that replaces the main rotor on a model of a helicopter from the Black Hawk family in 1:35 scale. The rotor is rendered in the unfolded position, that is, the way the machine looks ready for takeoff. The printed rotor head has the blade hinges, the dampers and the pitch links drawn out, including their mountings. An injection mold simplifies these parts, because it cannot produce them without a parting line. It is not a model of the helicopter; it is an addition.
The Black Hawk has served the US Army and a number of other countries since the end of the 1970s and has grown into a whole family. The UH-60M is the modernized transport version, the MH-60G Pave Hawk is the US Air Force machine for searching for and rescuing crews in danger, and the AH-60L DAP is an armed attack variant with external stores in place of part of the cabin. Despite the differences in equipment the rotor system stays common, which is why the set covers several versions at once.
The printed parts are held on thin supports. Snip them off close to the part and level the rest with a file or a scalpel; pliers would snap the section. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting, or the print texture will show through. Keep fitting the blades dry until you are sure they are all at the same angle and the rotor will not sit crooked.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
