This starter set contains an injection-molded plastic kit of the British Challenger 1 main battle tank in 1:72 scale together with the basic equipment for building it. Besides the model parts, the Model Set box holds a set of basic paints, glue and a brush, so you can start building without buying anything else. The model has a rotating turret, easily assembled tracks and a simple diorama base.
The Challenger 1 was the main battle tank of the British Army, introduced in 1983. It was notable for its strong composite armor and its 120 mm gun and proved itself above all in the fighting in the Persian Gulf. It went through upgrades step by step, among them add-on armor.
The set is conceived as an entry-level one, yet we recommend cutting the parts off with a knife and cleaning them up. Apply the enclosed paints with a brush in thin coats; washes and pigments weather the running gear and the lower hull well for dust and mud effects. Assemble the tracks according to the instructions before you finish the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The enclosed paints, glue and brush make up the basic equipment of the starter set; further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
