1:72 F-14 Tomcat pilots (in a standing position - scene 2) (2 pcs) (3D Printed) is a printed set of two figures of the crew of the F-14 fighter in a standing position.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of two figures made by 3D printing that shows the crew of the American F-14 Tomcat carrier fighter away from the aircraft. The stance differs from the first variant, so the two sets can be combined into a larger scene without the figures looking like copies. Even in 1:72 scale, printing holds the folds of the flight suit, the harness straps and the shape of the helmet, which an injection mold usually simplifies beyond recognition.
The F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing. The crew was made up of the pilot and a weapon systems officer, who in the rear cockpit worked the radar and the control of the long-range missiles. The pair therefore did not work as a pilot and a pupil but as two equal members with divided duties. For dioramas that means the figures by the machine should have different equipment and should not be identical.
The printed parts are held on thin supports. Snip them off close to the figure and level the face with a scalpel. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting. Build the face up in layers from shadow to light, but in this scale only suggest the features. Leave the helmet at a different level of gloss from the flight suit.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
