A whole unit of Polish infantry in the service of the empire is covered by the set 28mm Napoleonic Wars Duchy of Warsaw Infantry Battalion 1807-1814 of forty-four figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package covers a whole unit at once. Thirty-six men make up the battalion, in which there are six grenadiers, six voltigeurs and the rest falls to fusiliers and a command group. Eight figures of the elite companies deployed in skirmish order are added to them. The figures can be built on the march as well as at the moment of the charge.
The Duchy of Warsaw was created in 1807 out of territories that Napoleon took from Prussia, and its army counted as one of the most reliable outside France. Polish infantrymen went through Spain, Russia and Saxony, and their four-cornered cap called the czapka set them apart unerringly on the battlefield. The soldiers fought in the hope of restoring a state of their own, and that is why they held on even where allies gave way.
The dark blue cloth of the Polish infantry comes out well when you lighten the base and underline the seams with a dark shade. Paint the cap separately while the head is still apart, and attach it to the body only at the end. Seat the figures on their bases once dry, or the brush will not get into the row between them.
A painting guide and bases are in the package, paints and glue are not.
