Two mature trees with paler tops to their crowns, 12.7 to 15.2 cm tall. The size that sets the scale of a whole scene on a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pair of trees in the range of 12.7 to 15.2 cm belongs to the larger sizes of the range. A tree like that is no longer an accessory but an element from which the viewer reads the size of everything else: buildings, vehicles and figures. That is why it pays to place it with thought, best of all so that its crown does not cover the main motif of the scene.
The tops have paler foliage shifted toward a warm tone, while the bottom of the crown stays darker. This difference is more marked on the taller pieces than on small ones, because the area of the crown is larger and the transition has room to show. The trunk carries a fine drawing of bark and the branching begins roughly in the first third of the height.
The package holds 2 pieces. The trunk is pliable over its whole length, but with the taller trees it pays to bend more carefully, because the longer lever arm breaks a side branch off more easily. Seating is the same as with the lower sizes: the pin down into the hole, or the plate under the tree while the arrangement is still being tried.
On a layout in 1:87 this is a tree eleven to thirteen meters tall, in 1:160 even twenty to twenty-four meters, so a sturdy broadleaf tree. In 1:35 the same piece works out at four and a half to five meters, which matches a tree behind a single-story building. The pair will therefore cover a larger base as well, if lower pieces are added. Anyone building a scene with vehicles should watch the relation between the crown and the roof of the vehicle; it is from that ratio that the viewer sees fastest that the sizes do not match.
