Miniature bricks are small masonry units for building walls, chimneys, arched openings and ruins directly on a diorama. They are laid piece by piece into mortar or adhesive, and the resulting wall carries an irregularity that a cast panel will never have: courses that wander slightly, a broken brick here and there, joints of differing width where the work was rushed. Laying course by course calls for a bedding compound and something to texture the rest of the plot with, both in modelling compounds, foams and texturing materials, while the moulds, rollers and scribers used for walling are in diorama making tools.
