HEKI Grass Tufts, Spring 5 to 6 mm, 100 pcs

One hundred individual grass tufts from the German maker HEKI, five to six millimeters tall, in a fresh spring green. Unlike a grass mat, a tuft is an individual element placed deliberately where growth is meant to appear: at the foot of a post, in a joint between paving slabs, at the edge of a ditch or in the middle of an otherwise low meadow. It is precisely this ability to dose vegetation piece by piece that makes tufts the most effective tool for fine-tuning a finished landscape.

How to work with the tufts

The tufts are not self-adhesive; they are fixed with modeling glue, ideally a flock adhesive or PVA glue. Apply a drop of glue to the base and seat the tuft in it with tweezers, as fingers will not reach into narrow places. Do not space the tufts evenly, as natural growth is irregular and forms in clusters. Around a solitary tuft on bare ground it helps to add a little fine granulate so the transition into the base is not abrupt.
