HEKI 33102 - stone scatter in earth tones, 0.1 to 0.6 mm, 200 g

A scatter of crushed natural stone colored to earthy brown tones. A grain size of 0.1 to 0.6 mm is the finest grade in the line, and the pack holds 200 g. Earthy brown is the most general-purpose shade of all on a layout: dust and soil get everywhere, and it is they that tie the individual areas of terrain together. HEKI Kittler is a German maker from Rastatt, and all its goods are produced in Germany.

Where the earth tone suits

For clay field lanes, for the terrain between tracks and around turnouts, for ruts left by vehicles, for the margins of a field and for areas around buildings where the soil is trodden down. It also serves well as a base under a layer of grass, so that the bare base material does not show between the blades.

Use

• Sift it into a layer of thinned PVA glue, or spread the material dry and flood it.
• For flooding use thinned glue with a drop of dish soap and apply it from a dropper, not with a brush.
• On lanes, form two shallow wheel ruts before you fix the area; once dry it will no longer be possible.
• After drying, add tufts of grass where weeds would grow over the lane.
• Whatever does not stick, pour back into the bag once dry.

For builders of layouts, dioramas and gaming mats who need a general-purpose earthy material for lanes and for transitions between areas of terrain.

This is a fine stone granulate. Do not breathe in the dust while working and avoid drafts. The item is not suitable for children under 15. Glue is not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
