A 1:48 masking set for models of the Ju 87 B-2 and Ju 87 D-2/R-2, prepared according to the name for two kits from the Italeri brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Junkers Ju 87 is a German dive bomber recognizable by its inverted gull wing and fixed landing gear with wheel spats. The B-2 version is among the early machines, while the versions designated R came about for greater range and could carry drop tanks under the wing. What they share is a long glazed cockpit whose framing makes the most work of all the areas on the model when painting.
The set aims, according to the name, at two kits of the Italeri brand in 1:48 scale and gives the part number of each:
Which areas the set covers is stated on the manufacturer's packaging. Before buying, compare the number of the kit you have at home.
Wash and degrease the surface first; on a greasy part the edge of a mask will not sit down and paint will run under it. Always apply the masks with tweezers before spraying, press the edges down well and apply the paint in several thin coats. Remove them once the paint has set; from a fully cured finish they come off less easily and there is a risk of them tearing the edge of the coat away.
It suits builders of both kits listed who want clean canopy frames without hand lining, and it also comes in handy with a multicolor camouflage finish, when the canopy is covered more than once. It saves time above all when you are building both versions side by side and want them painted with equal precision.
The kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
