A precisely turned metal gun barrel in 1:35 scale from MASTER, a replacement for the plastic barrel of models of the German Panzer IV/70 tank destroyer in both the (A) and the (V) version, armed with the long 7.5 cm PaK 42 L/70 gun. It is not a kit but a detailing part that markedly raises the realism of a model.
A turned metal barrel is perfectly straight, has an accurate muzzle and needs none of the lengthy filling and sanding of seams that goes with split plastic barrels. The long PaK 42 gun is characteristic of the silhouette of these vehicles, which is why every inaccuracy shows on it: a metal replacement is the surest route to a clean result.
Degrease the metal barrel and fit it in place of the original part according to the build sequence; glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Lay a primer on the metal before painting so that the color holds well.
The part is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
