A single figure from the Czech maker CMK in 1:35 scale. It represents the commander of the crew of a German trench mortar from the World War I period, that is, the man who directed the fire rather than working the weapon. The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is intended to complete a scene of your own.
The crew of a trench mortar was a small team in which everyone had his own task: one laid the weapon, another loaded it, others carried ammunition. The commander stood to the side of the weapon, watched where the rounds fell and adjusted the elevation, because mortar fire is directed at a target the gunner cannot see. That is exactly why the commander figure suits a scene: it gives the scene sense and shows that the firing is not blind but follows orders.
First wash the figure in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry. Cut the remains of production away with a fresh blade, level the surface and wear respiratory protection when sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Dry-fit where the figure belongs in the scene and where it is looking, because it is the commander's gaze that ties the scene together. World War I uniforms are muted in color, so work with shadow and light rather than with saturated shades.
