A 3D-printed resin detailing set of the main rotor of the Sea King helicopter in the unfolded, operating position in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. It replaces the rotor from the base kit with a finely made 3D-printed assembly with a faithful rotor head and control linkages. It is intended for the Airfix Sea King kit and is not itself a model of the helicopter.
The Sea King was a multi-role helicopter used mainly for anti-submarine warfare and for rescue duties. An unfolded rotor with the blades in the operating position is the typical sight of the machine in flight or ready for takeoff. The set captures exactly that state and suits a classic display of a model.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut away the print supports and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fit the fine linkages and control rods carefully; apply a primer before painting.
This is not a stand-alone model. The set is meant to improve a kit; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
