HäT 1:72 Assyrian Allied/Auxiliary Infantry is a set of forty-four figures of the allied and auxiliary detachments of the Assyrian empire.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains one hundred and twelve parts from which you assemble forty-four figures. The high number of parts per figure means that the weapons and shields are separate, so you can divide the formation into various types of detachment. The figures are unpainted and complement the Assyrian line infantry, cavalry and chariots from the same maker.
The Assyrian empire built its strength on a combination of its own army and detachments from subdued and allied territories. The auxiliary units brought their own way of fighting and their own weapons into the army, from light missile troops through spearmen to detachments from mountain regions. In the imperial army they served as a complement to the heavy infantry and were used mainly in the advance guard and in taking broken ground.
Wash the figures, dry them and spray them with a flexible primer. Leave the weapons and shields on the sprue and paint them separately; they are glued to the figure at the end. Make use of the variety of the auxiliary detachments: paint the tunics in various shades of ocher, red-brown and white, so that they stand apart from the uniform imperial infantry. Suggest the small wicker shields with a brown glaze over a light base.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
