A set of masking circles in diameters from 4 to 7 mm. You use them wherever an exact circle is meant to appear on a model: on lights and reflectors, on circular instruments and flats, on the small discs of wheels and on camouflage made up of patches. A circle cut from tape tends to be inaccurate and straight tape breaks on a curve, while ready-made circles cut this work down to sticking them on. The masks are not tied to one kit, so you will use them across whatever projects are on the bench.
Stick the mask onto a dry, clean and degreased surface before spraying and press the edge down properly, because it is exactly under an edge not pressed down that paint runs in. Spray perpendicularly, in thin coats, and lead the spray across the mask inward rather than from the edge outward. Take the mask off shortly after the coat has dried, not after it has cured completely, and pull it at an angle across itself; tearing it off straight up could lift the finish as well. Wipe adhesive residue off with a cotton swab. If the circle is to be full and sharp, it is better to spray several light coats and let the paint flash off between them.
The masks alone are supplied. Paints, thinner and a kit are not included, unless stated otherwise.
