HEKI trees of natural material, 20 pieces

A set of twenty trees from the German maker HEKI made of seafoam, that is of real plant material. A natural framework has one substantial advantage over shaped plastic: the branching is irregular and every piece is different, so a group never comes across as a repeated casting. The form is natural, without any pronounced color tuning, so the trees can be used bare or you can color them and add foliage yourself.

How to work with the small trees

Natural material is more fragile than plastic, so the trees are taken by the trunk, not by the branches. They are stuck into the landscape or glued by the foot. If you want to add foliage, apply flock adhesive or diluted white glue to the branches and sprinkle foliage granulate from above over a box so that the excess falls through. Layering two shades gives a crown depth. Let the finished trees dry hanging or stuck in place so that the crown is not flattened.
