A finished model tree from the German maker HEKI, twenty centimeters tall. A beech growing in the open differs substantially from a forest one: it has a low-set, broad and dense crown reaching almost to the ground, whereas in a forest the trees take the light from each other lower down and the bottom branches die off. At twenty centimeters this is a tree around which a scene is built, not filling for a stand.
The tree is pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. With a twenty-centimeter piece make the hole deeper and fix the trunk in it with a drop of glue, as the heavy crown would otherwise lean. Spread the flattened branches carefully with your fingers after unpacking and leave the outline of the crown irregular. Add grass and leaf granulate under the tree, and with a solitary tree root flares suggested with filler suit it too.
For layout and diorama builders who need a striking tree as a landmark, and for modelers fine-tuning the surroundings of buildings. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
