A 1:48 masking set for models of the Ju 87 G-2 and Ju 87 D-5, prepared according to the name for two kits from the Italeri brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Junkers Ju 87 was a German dive bomber with fixed landing gear and an inverted gull wing. The D-5 version received an extended wing, while the G-2 version carried a pair of cannon pods under the wing and was used against ground targets. Both have a long glazed canopy over a two-man crew, so there really are plenty of frames that have to be separated from the rest of the finish on a model.
The name ties the set to two kits of the Italeri brand in 1:48 scale and gives their part numbers as well:
Which areas the set covers and how many parts it contains is stated on the manufacturer's packaging.
Wash and degrease the surface first, otherwise the edge of a mask will not sit down. Place the parts with tweezers before spraying; on a long canopy keep an eye on the individual frames following on from each other. Press the edges down carefully and apply the paint in several thin coats; a heavy coat seeps and leaves a step on the edge. Remove the masks once the paint has set, not after it has fully cured.
It will be appreciated by builders who want clean canopy frames on both versions of the Ju 87 without slow tape cutting. Before buying the set, compare the number of your kit with the numbers given above.
The kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
