The American tanker jacket in 1:16, version number 2 is a loosely discarded piece of resin clothing that suits a vehicle, an interior and a large figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second version of the American garment for figures one hundred and twenty millimeters tall is a resin casting capturing the jacket off the body, that is the way it falls onto a surface under its own weight. That is exactly what sets it apart from its siblings in the range: each of the versions offers a different shape of slumped cloth.
In the large scale the problem is the opposite of the one in the small: the empty surfaces are enormous and look sterile. A piece of clothing thrown over the edge of a hatch, hung on a grab handle or dropped on a seat fills the visual center of gravity and tells the viewer that somebody works here. It proves its worth to put the jacket where the light breaks, because folded cloth creates shadows that painted metal on its own does not have.
The most common mistake is a uniform coat. The layers are therefore graded: a darker tone runs into the hollows, a middle one stays on the flats and the lightest goes only onto the ridges of the folds. The edges of the cloth are thinned with a fine file before painting, so that the hem does not look like sheet metal. An entirely matte surface will finally give the impression of fabric. Leave the sheen only where oil would really have soaked in.
