A decal set for models of American F-16C fighters in 1:48 scale. It contains the main markings and the stencil markings, that is, the small warning and servicing lettering that covers the surface of a real aircraft. Mission markings of the kind the aircraft carried after combat deployments are included. The set covers several production blocks that differ in equipment and in unit assignment. It is neither an aircraft model nor a set of painting masks.
During its service the F-16 was divided into production blocks that differ from one another in engine, equipment and fittings. The difference is also visible in the shape of the rear fuselage and the air intake. Mission markings, that is, the small silhouettes on the nose, appeared on aircraft after combat sorties, and it is a detail that immediately reveals a particular aircraft and its history on a model.
Always apply the decals over a gloss clear coat; on a matte surface air stays trapped under the film and silvering appears. Cut them out as close to the design as possible, soak them in clean water and transfer them into place with tweezers or a brush. Squeeze the excess water out with a soft cloth from the center toward the edges. Once dry, coat the whole model with a matte or satin varnish.
The set contains decals only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
