Photo-etched heavy binoculars and gun directors for IJN ships in 1:700 from Flyhawk refine the observation and fire control equipment of the model. It is a photo-etched accessory, not a ship model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from Flyhawk is intended for detailing the observation and fire control instruments of warships of the Imperial Japanese Navy. It is not a ship kit but a set of fine photo-etched parts with which you replace the coarse plastic heavy binoculars and gun directors on the superstructures.
Japanese ships carried distinctive heavy binoculars and fire control instruments on their bridges and gunnery positions. In 1:700 scale these elements are tiny and in plastic they have to be simplified; the photo-etched parts give the superstructures a considerably higher degree of fineness and credibility.
Bend the small parts in a photo-etch bender, separate them with a sharp knife and glue them with a micro drop of cyanoacrylate. Tweezers and magnification make the work easier. Once everything is assembled, apply primer and paint with an airbrush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
