1:72 Soviet ZiS-5V /6/BZ35/39 painting mask from Clear Prop Models is a set of masks for painting the Soviet truck and its derived versions in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of masks from Clear Prop Models is used for masking while painting a model of the Soviet ZiS-5V truck and the derived versions given in the name, including the BZ-35 and BZ-39 tanker forms. It is not a model and not a set of parts but an aid that saves the work of cutting masks out and gives clean edges where masking by hand in such a small scale would be difficult.
The ZiS-5 was one of the pillars of Soviet road transport in the 1930s and 1940s. The simplified wartime ZiS-5V form had a wooden cab, more angular fenders and the omission of the features that could be done without during the war. A whole range of bodies was built on the chassis of this family, from flatbeds to tankers, so vehicles of this type appeared with engineer, supply and air force units.
In 1:72 scale the masks are really small, so work with tweezers and a magnifier. Let the model cure properly before masking, otherwise removing the mask will damage fresh paint. Apply the paint in thin coats and perpendicular to the surface, so that it does not get under the edge of the mask. Once the color is on, take the mask off and check the edges, as small shortcomings are easier to correct with a fine brush at once than later.
