HEKI Grass Strips, White and Heather Flowering 5 to 6 mm, 10 pcs

Ten grass strips from the German maker HEKI, one hundred millimeters long, with growth five to six millimeters high, with added white and pink-violet flowering elements. A flowering strip differs from an ordinary one in its job: it is not there merely to grass an area over but to draw the eye. It is therefore used more sparingly and laid where the eye should rest, that is, along a lane, by a fence or under the window of a building.

Use

• flowering strips along lanes, fences and walls
• front gardens and the edges of gardens
• heathland strips on dry hillsides
• a color accent in an otherwise green area
• bringing life to the edge of a meadow or an embankment
• a flowering edge by a station platform or a halt

How to work with the strips

The strips are not self-adhesive; they are fixed with modeling glue, ideally a flock adhesive or PVA glue. Apply a thin line of glue and lay the strip into it, shortening it with scissors if needed. Do not lay flowering material continuously along the whole length of an area, but in sections with ordinary green grass inserted between them. Keep the transition between the flowering and non-flowering parts irregular, not exactly on an edge.

Who the set is for

For layout and diorama builders who want color in a green area, and for modelers fine-tuning garden and rural scenes. A flowering strip can also be cut into small pieces and placed as individual clumps of flowers. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
