HEKI Grass Tufts and Strips, Dark Green is a combined box of tufts and strips of low grass in a dark shade.
Responsibility details are not available.
A combined box from the German maker HEKI containing grass tufts and grass strips in a dark green shade, with very low growth. Dark low grass has a narrowly defined place on a model: it grows in the shade of buildings and walls, on the north-facing sides of slopes and everywhere the soil is damp. That is why it is not used over a whole area but deliberately, as the counterpart to lighter grass in sunlit places.
Neither the tufts nor the strips are self-adhesive; they are fixed with modeling glue, ideally a flock adhesive or PVA glue. Lay the strips into a thin line of glue and seat the tufts with tweezers into individual drops. Dark grass only comes into its own next to lighter grass, so it pays to combine two shades and keep the boundary between them irregular. Leave the growth denser in the shade and thinner on the sunlit side.
For layout and diorama builders who work with light and shade, and for modelers fine-tuning the damp places in a scene. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
